Aarti Kishen is a Licensed Certified Social Worker- Clinical (LCSW-C). She has a Bachelors in Social Work (BSW) from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (1996) and a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Maryland at Baltimore (1997), with a clinical specialization in families and children. Additionally, Ms. Kishen is an Adjunct Professor at Salisbury University.
Ms. Kishen has over twenty-seven years of clinical experience working with Families, Children, and Adolescents. She was the Clinical Director for eight years at Adventist Behavioral Health. Prior to that she worked within schools, residential programs, and with the Office of Public Defender. She has an extensive background in trauma work, family issues, anxiety as well as depression.
Ms. Kishen uses a holistic approach for overall healing and wellness and has experience in using yoga therapeutically as well as other mindfulness based techniques. She has also completed a specialized training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
